Filter housing USTM WFST/1 3/4" for washing machine, spare part
WFST filter housing is designed to protect washing machines and dishwashers from limescale buildup. In hard-water areas, using the filter housing extends the service life of components that come into contact with water by holding a polyphosphate deposit that prevents scale formation. The housing fits systems with 3/4" threaded connections and has an internal thread on one end and an external thread on the other, allowing straightforward installation between the inlet hose and the shut-off valve or between the hose and the appliance. The housing measures 16 cm in length with a 6 cm diameter, and the filling volume is 100%.
The USTM WFST/1 filter housing provides a simple mechanical solution to reduce limescale in washing machines and dishwashers. Its dual-thread design (internal and external 3/4" threads) enables flexible installation without additional adapters. The replaceable or refillable polyphosphate filling allows continued protection without replacing the entire housing, and compatibility with standard 3/4" inlet connections makes it suitable for common household appliance plumbing.
Shut off the water supply before installation. Unscrew the appliance inlet hose from the valve or appliance, then screw the WFST/1 housing in-line between the hose and the valve or appliance using the appropriate 3/4" threaded ends. Ensure the internal and external threads match the connection orientation. After installation, open the water supply and check for leaks. When the polyphosphate filling is spent, either replace the filter element or refill the housing according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Install the filter housing on the cold-water inlet and check connections for leaks after first use. Periodically inspect the filling and replace or refill it when its effectiveness decreases. Do not use on hot-water lines unless explicitly allowed by the appliance manufacturer.
