Acrylic Paint VALLEJO True Metallic 77.156 Shade Greenish Gold (18 ml)

VALLEJO True Metallic 77.156 Shade Greenish Gold is an 18 ml water-based acrylic paint formulated for hobbyists, modelers and miniature painters seeking a compact metallic finish. The Greenish Gold shade yields a subtle yellow-green metallic shimmer with fine pigment dispersion that accepts layering, glazing and weathering techniques. The bottle and dropper-style cap enable controlled dispensing for brush or airbrush application on plastic, metal and resin surfaces commonly used in scale models and tabletop miniatures.

Advantages

This Vallejo True Metallic paint offers consistent metallic coverage with a reflective appearance and fine particles to reduce brush marks. Its water-based formulation dries to a durable film, thins with water or acrylic thinner, and cleans up easily. The contained volume of 18 ml is convenient for small projects, touch-ups and mixing without excessive waste.

Suitable for

• Detail painting and highlights on miniature figures and scale models
• Airbrushing thin layers for even metallic effects
• Layering and glazing to produce depth and subtle color shifts
• Weathering and accenting metallic areas on vehicles, armor and props
• Use on plastic, metal and resin model components

When it may not be suitable

This paint is intended for fine hobby work and may require multiple thin coats to reach full opacity on dark substrates. For large-area industrial painting or high-durability exterior applications, specialist automotive or industrial coatings are more appropriate. As with many metallic acrylics, visible brush strokes can occur if applied too thickly or without proper thinning.

Key specifications

• Type: Water-based acrylic metallic paint
• Finish: Metallic, reflective greenish-gold shade
• Volume: 18 ml per bottle
• Compatibility: Suitable for plastic, metal and resin
• Application: Brush or airbrush (thin as needed)
• Clean-up: Water-soluble before drying

How to use

Shake the bottle before use to ensure even pigment suspension. For brush application, dispense a small amount and thin with a few drops of water or acrylic thinner to reduce brush marks; apply in thin, even layers allowing drying between coats. For airbrush use, thin to the appropriate viscosity for your equipment and strain if needed to avoid clogging. Allow the paint to dry fully before applying varnish, weathering products or additional layers.

What to consider before purchase

• Intended scale and surface: better suited for small-scale models and miniatures
• Need for thinning: may require water or acrylic thinner for optimal results
• Number of coats: multiple thin layers may be needed for full coverage
• Compatibility with primers and varnishes: test on a sample area if unsure

Usage recommendations

For the best metallic effect, apply several thin, semi-transparent layers and finish with a suitable varnish. When airbrushing, start with low pressure and increase gradually to achieve a smooth, even sheen without texture.
