Sleeping bag VAUDE Sioux 1000 II adult mummy, polyester (PET), blue — width 80 cm
VAUDE Sioux 1000 II is an adult mummy-style sleeping bag made from recycled polyester (PET) with a compact pack size and a fitted shape designed to retain body heat. The construction uses a two-layer synthetic fiber fill (Sensofiber Eco) that remains insulating when damp, dries quickly and offers breathability for a stable microclimate during sleep. The outer shell has a PFC-free Eco Finish for water repellency and dirt resistance. The design emphasizes material efficiency, ease of repair and robust performance for overnight camping, trekking and travel in cool conditions. Packed in a carry bag with header card, it is suitable where a compressible, lightweight and thermally efficient sleeping bag is needed.
The two-layer synthetic fill provides uniform thermal insulation without cold spots and maintains insulating properties when wet, while remaining easy to care for and quick to dry. The mummy cut and adjustable thermal collar reduce heat loss and improve thermal efficiency in a compact, lightweight package. Materials are largely recycled polyester, reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions in production. The outer fabric’s PFC-free water-repellent finish offers additional protection against moisture and soiling. The product is designed for durability and straightforward repair to extend service life.
Unpack the sleeping bag from its carry sack and shake it briefly to allow the insulation to loft. Lay it out flat inside your tent or on your sleeping mat with the head opening positioned for easy entry. Use the adjustable collar to close gaps near the neck and draw the mummy-shaped hood around your head for additional warmth. Close the zipper fully or partially to regulate ventilation as needed. After use, air the sleeping bag to remove moisture, dry completely if damp, then compress and store in the carry bag for transport or in a loose storage bag at home to preserve loft.
For best thermal performance, pair the sleeping bag with an insulated sleeping pad to minimize heat loss to the ground. If the bag becomes wet, dry it thoroughly before long-term storage; machine washing on a gentle cycle and tumble drying at low temperature are possible according to care labels, but follow the manufacturer's instructions to maintain the recycled polyester fill and water-repellent finish. Choose sleepwear appropriate to expected night temperatures to optimize comfort and insulation efficiency.
