The Verbatim Store 'n' Go 2TB USB 3.0 portable hard drive in Silver provides high-capacity, high-speed external storage in a compact, bus‑powered enclosure. With USB 3.0 SuperSpeed (backwards compatible with USB 2.0) it delivers significantly faster data transfer than legacy USB interfaces and is supplied with Nero backup and Green Button energy‑saving software.

How to use

Connect the drive to a computer using the supplied USB cable; the drive is plug‑and‑play and does not require additional power. For Windows systems the drive is ready to use out of the box. Drives of 2 TB and under are formatted in FAT32 for immediate use on Windows and macOS. If the drive is reformatted to NTFS for larger capacities or has NTFS formatting, macOS users can reformat to HFS+ using the included Verbatim VHD Formatter. Install and run Nero Backup on supported Windows versions to create manual or scheduled backups.

Usage recommendations

For regular backups enable scheduled backups in Nero Backup and configure Green Button sleep settings to suspend the drive after a preferred idle interval (options from immediate to 120 minutes) to save energy and prolong drive life. Reformat to HFS+ only if you need full macOS compatibility and follow standard reformatting precautions (backup data first).
