VERBATIM DVD-R Matt Silver 4.7 GB (DVD-R, 16x, 120 min, Slimcase)
VERBATIM DVD-R Matt Silver 4.7 GB is a single-layer recordable optical disc designed for reliable storage and compatible playback in most DVD-R drives. With a native capacity of 4.7 GB and up to 120 minutes of standard-definition video capacity, this DVD-R supports recording at speeds up to 16x and features a matte silver printable surface. The discs are supplied in a slimcase package for compact storage and transport.
The disc uses proven Verbatim recording technology developed in collaboration with drive manufacturers to ensure broad compatibility and stable recording performance. The matte silver surface accepts inkjet or thermal printing methods suitable for simple labelling and the 16x write speed reduces burning time compared with lower-speed media. The single-layer format provides predictable capacity and wide playback support across standalone DVD players and computer drives.
Insert the VERBATIM DVD-R into a compatible DVD writer and use your computer's disc burning software to select the disc as the target media. Choose an appropriate recording mode (e.g., video DVD authoring or data disc) and set the write speed—16x is supported but selecting a slightly lower speed can improve burn stability on older drives. After burning, allow the disc to finalize according to the software prompts to ensure compatibility with standalone players. For label printing on the matte silver surface, follow the instructions of your printer or label applicator to avoid smudging.
Store discs horizontally in their slimcase away from direct sunlight, extremes of temperature and high humidity. For long-term archival, verify recorded data after burning and keep a secondary backup copy when possible. Use compatible drives and updated burning software to maintain recording quality and compatibility.
