The Verbatim Store 'n' Go portable hard drive (2TB) provides high-performance mobile storage with a USB 3.0 "SuperSpeed" interface. It delivers much faster data transfer than USB 2.0 and is bus powered, requiring no external power supply. The drive is compact with a smooth, modern design and is compatible with USB 2.0 ports for broader device support.

Advantages

USB 3.0 (backwards compatible with USB 2.0) enables faster file transfers and plug-and-play operation using only the host USB port for power. Drives up to 2TB come preformatted in FAT32 for immediate use on Windows and Mac, and the drive includes Nero BackItUp Essentials software for scheduled or manual backups on Windows systems. Energy-saving Green Button software can suspend drive spinning to reduce power consumption.

Connect the Verbatim Store 'n' Go drive to an available USB port on your PC or notebook; the drive is bus powered and requires no external adapter. For Windows and Mac systems, drives of 2TB or under are formatted in FAT32 and are ready to use immediately. If the drive is larger than 2TB or if you prefer macOS native formatting, reformat the drive to HFS+ using the included Verbatim VHD Formatter. Install Nero BackItUp Essentials on a compatible Windows system to configure manual or scheduled backups.

Usage recommendations

Use the Green Button energy-saving software to configure one of three sleep settings (10-minute increments up to 120 minutes, immediate suspend, or never suspend) to reduce power usage and prolong drive life. Keep important backups in at least two locations and safely eject the drive before disconnecting to prevent data corruption.
