Power distribution unit Vertiv VP4G30AS — Monitored 0U PDU, Three‑phase, 42 AC outlets (C13/C19), 3.05 m cable, 32 A, 230–400 V
Vertiv Geist VP4G30AS is a monitored 0U vertical power distribution unit (PDU) designed for three‑phase rack power distribution. The unit provides 42 AC outlets in a combination of IEC C13 and IEC C19 receptacles and connects via a 3.05 m IEC 60309 3P+N+E input cable. Rated for 230–400 V nominal input at up to 32 A and 50/60 Hz, the PDU delivers up to 22 kW of power capacity and integrates onboard monitoring for current, power and voltage. Built‑in network management supports SNMP, HTTP(S) and SSH protocols, and the device includes the Vertiv Geist next‑generation IMD with a 128×128 high‑visibility LCD for local power data display. The unit is CE marked, RoHS certified and tested for functionality and reliability.
The VP4G30AS offers unit‑level and outlet‑level monitoring so technicians can view current, voltage and real‑time power consumption for effective capacity planning. The integrated IMD provides a bright LCD with orientation sensing for clear local readouts whether the PDU is mounted vertically or horizontally. Network management with SNMP, HTTP(S) and SSH enables remote monitoring and integration with data center management systems. A redundant power‑sharing port allows connection of two IMDs for backup power coordination. Security features such as secure boot help protect device firmware and operational data.
Mount the VP4G30AS vertically in the rack using the recommended mounting points and secure the unit per rack vendor instructions. Connect the 3.05 m IEC 60309 input plug to a compatible three‑phase 3P+N+E supply capable of delivering up to 32 A, and connect IT equipment to the C13 and C19 outlets as required, balancing load across phases where applicable. Access the local IMD display to review real‑time metrics or connect the unit to the network and configure SNMP, HTTP(S) or SSH access for remote monitoring. Follow site electrical safety procedures when making mains connections and ensure protective devices upstream are appropriately rated.
For reliable operation, distribute equipment loads evenly across phases to prevent imbalances, monitor outlet and branch currents regularly to detect trends, and use the IMD display together with remote SNMP monitoring for capacity planning and alarm configuration. Ensure the upstream supply and overcurrent protection match the PDU rating and comply with local electrical codes. Keep firmware updated and maintain network security settings to preserve data integrity and device availability.
