Power distribution unit Vertiv VP7G30A7, Monitored Switched PDU, 24x C13/C19 outlets, 32A, 200–240V, IEC 60309 plug, 3.05 m cable, 0U, Black
The Vertiv Geist VP7G30A7 is a monitored, switched single‑phase vertical rack power distribution unit (PDU) designed for rack and cabinet power management in data centres and network rooms. It delivers up to 7.3 kW of capacity from a 32 A, 200–240 V input and provides 24 AC outlets (U‑Lock C13 and C19). The unit includes an IEC 60309 input plug on a 3.05 m cable and integrates the Vertiv Geist next‑generation IMD with a 128x128 high‑visibility LCD for local power monitoring and control.
The VP7G30A7 allows outlet‑level switching to remotely reboot equipment or disable receptacles to prevent accidental overloads, combining monitored input power with per‑outlet control. The integrated IMD displays power data locally and supports network management for remote monitoring, logging and secure access. The device features orientation‑aware sensing for display mounting, a redundant power‑sharing port for backup between IMDs, and enhanced secure boot functionality. Units are individually tested and comply with relevant safety and environmental standards.
This PDU is intended for single‑phase 200–240 V systems and requires a 32 A supply; it is not suitable for three‑phase power distribution or installations with different voltage or current requirements. If you need basic, non‑managed power distribution without remote switching or monitoring, this monitored and switched unit may include features beyond your needs.
Install the PDU vertically in a compatible rack or cabinet and connect the IEC 60309 plug to a single‑phase 32 A, 200–240 V supply. Use the integrated IMD display for local monitoring of power metrics and to control individual outlets. For remote management, connect the PDU to the network and configure network settings using DHCP or static IP; manage and monitor using supported protocols such as SNMP, HTTPS or SSH. Use outlet switching to power cycle unresponsive equipment or to disable selected receptacles to avoid overloads. Ensure the redundant power‑sharing connection is configured when using multiple IMDs for backup power sharing.
Use this monitored switched PDU for critical racks where outlet‑level control and remote monitoring improve uptime and troubleshooting. Configure network access with secure credentials, enable secure boot and firmware updates, and test outlet switching procedures during maintenance windows to avoid unintended service disruptions.
