The Verto 51G511 lighter is a compact electric barbecue lighter and heat gun with a depth of 260 mm, supplied as a single unit. Designed for reliable ignition, it delivers a powerful 2000 W output and a controlled hot air stream to light charcoal quickly without chemical accelerants. The device comes with a dedicated grill nozzle that concentrates airflow for rapid heating, while a bimetallic overheat protector and a plastic housing make it suitable for repeated outdoor use.
The lighter provides fast, chemical-free ignition of charcoal and briquettes, reaching a usable heat concentration that can start a grill within about 60 seconds. Two temperature levels allow selectable heat from approximately 350°C to 550°C and two airflow settings support targeted or broader heating. The unit is reusable, does not alter the taste of food, and includes CE safety certification. Its lightweight construction and included grill nozzle make it convenient for backyard barbecues, camping and seasonal grilling.
Attach the supplied grill nozzle to the heat gun outlet, place the nozzle at a safe distance from the charcoal pile, switch the device on and select the lower or higher setting depending on the required heating speed. Direct the concentrated hot air flow towards the charcoal until the coals begin to glow and ash over, typically within 60 seconds under normal conditions. After ignition, switch the device off and allow it to cool before storing. Always follow the CE safety information and keep the unit away from flammable materials when in operation.
For best results, position the nozzle so that air flows through gaps in the charcoal rather than directly onto fuel that could be blown away. Start with the lower setting to assess progress and increase to the higher setting if faster ignition is needed. Use on stable, non-flammable surfaces and maintain a safe distance from food until ashes are stable. Regularly inspect the nozzle and housing for damage and allow the unit to cool fully before changing accessories or storing.
