Sun Shade Triangle Sail VidaXL 4 x 5 x 6.4 m Oxford Fabric Blue
The Sun Shade Triangle Sail VidaXL 4 x 5 x 6.4 m Oxford Fabric Blue is a triangular outdoor shade made from woven Oxford fabric designed to reduce direct sunlight and provide UV protection. Sized with three unequal sides (4 m, 5 m and 6.4 m), this blue shade sail offers a versatile cover area for patios, gardens, terraces and poolside spaces. The breathable Oxford material balances sun blocking with airflow to help maintain a cooler area beneath the sail while resisting everyday wear.
The VidaXL triangle sun shade combines durable Oxford fabric construction with a simple geometric shape that allows flexible positioning between posts, walls or pergolas. Its woven structure reduces the intensity of sunlight and offers basic UV protection while permitting ventilation. The blue colour integrates with many outdoor settings and the sail’s lightweight design makes it easier to mount and adjust compared with rigid canopies.
This shade sail is not intended as a fully waterproof or windproof structure; heavy rain, sustained strong winds or snow loads can compromise the fabric and fixings. It is also not a replacement for professionally installed, permanent roofing or structures when full weatherproofing and insulation are required.
Select three secure anchor points such as posts, wall brackets or pergola beams and ensure they are positioned to achieve the desired tension and slope for water runoff. Attach the sail using suitable outdoor hardware (turnbuckles, D-shackles, pad eyes or snap hooks) rated for the expected load, and tension evenly to prevent pooling. Check and adjust the tension periodically and remove or loosen the sail during severe weather to protect the fabric and fixings.
For best performance, install the sail with a slight slope to allow water runoff, tension the corners evenly, and inspect mounting hardware regularly. Store or take down the sail during prolonged storms or winter months to prolong fabric life.
