Shade Sail VidaXL trapezoid 3 x 3/4 m light gray, 160 g/m²
Shade Sail VidaXL trapezoid 3 x 3/4 m light gray, 160 g/m²
The VidaXL Shade Sail VidaXL trapezoid 3 x 3/4 m light gray, 160 g/m² is a trapezoid-shaped outdoor fabric panel designed to provide shade and UV protection for terraces, patios, gardens and play areas. Made from a tightly woven 160 g/m² fabric in light gray, it reduces direct sunlight and helps lower surface temperatures under the sail. The geometry and reinforced edges allow tensioned installation between posts, walls or other supporting structures when used with appropriate fixings.
The shade sail offers a compact and versatile shading solution thanks to its trapezoidal shape, which can cover irregular areas more effectively than simple square or rectangular sails. The 160 g/m² woven fabric balances durability and breathability, resisting wear while allowing airflow to reduce heat buildup under the canopy. Light gray colouring provides neutral visual integration with most outdoor decors and reflects some sunlight to limit heat absorption.
This shade sail is not a fully waterproof canopy; it is intended primarily for sun and UV protection rather than rain shelter. Extremely exposed locations subject to strong winds or storms may require more robust anchoring systems or a different, heavier-duty product designed for permanent installations.
Install the shade sail by selecting stable anchor points such as posts, beams or suitable wall fixings. Ensure the distance between anchors matches the sail geometry to achieve correct tension and prevent sagging. Use compatible turnbuckles, carabiners, pad eyes or other outdoor-rated fasteners to connect the sail corners and adjust tension. Angle the sail slightly to allow rainwater to run off rather than pool. Regularly inspect all fixings and fabric for signs of wear and re-tension as needed.
For longest life, remove or reduce tension on the sail during heavy storms or snow, clean with mild detergent and water if needed, and store in a dry place when not in use for extended periods. Regularly check stitching and edges for wear and replace worn fixings promptly.
