Copper 90° Bend VIEGA 2616.1, Diameter 28 mm, Pack of 5
VIEGA 2616.1 is a copper 90° bend with a 28 mm nominal diameter supplied in a pack of five pieces. Intended for plumbing, heating and HVAC piping, this elbow creates a corrosion-resistant directional change in copper tubing and is compatible with press-fit installation methods. The component is constructed from copper and includes an HNBR sealing element to ensure a reliable joint for potable water and heating circuits.
The copper construction provides inherent resistance to corrosion and long service life in potable water and heating systems. The press-fit plug-in end simplifies installation and reduces the need for soldering or open flames, supporting faster assembly and safer site conditions. The integrated HNBR sealing element ensures leak-tight connections when installed to manufacturer specifications.
Prepare the copper pipe by cutting square and deburring the end. Ensure the contact surfaces are clean and dry. Insert the pipe into the press-fit end until it reaches the stop; verify proper engagement visually or by measuring insertion depth. Use a compatible pressing tool and jaws sized for 28 mm press connections to compress the fitting according to the press tool manufacturer’s instructions. After pressing, inspect the joint for correct deformation and ensure the sealing element is not exposed or damaged.
Follow applicable standards and the VIEGA installation instructions. Use only approved press tools and jaws for 28 mm copper fittings. Do not use damaged or deformed fittings. For systems conveying potable water, verify compatibility of sealing materials and perform pressure testing after installation in accordance with local regulations.
