VIRTUOS HW-857 is a rugged industrial 2D barcode reader with a high-speed image sensor and wireless connectivity. Built for continuous operation in warehouses, production lines and logistics environments, the scanner reads 1D and 2D codes from paper, screens and transparent packaging, and includes a durable, fireproof housing with IP65 protection.

How to use

Connect the scanner to a host via USB (keyboard or RS232/SPP emulation), pair it with a PC, tablet or phone using Bluetooth, or use the 2.4 GHz connection through the charging base for wireless operation. Position the red cross laser aiming mark on the barcode and trigger a manual scan or use automatic detection mode. Use Memory Mode when operating outside base range to store scans and later synchronize with the host. Replace the 18650 battery as needed and charge the reader in the cradle; the cradle can charge the reader and a spare battery simultaneously.

Usage recommendations

For best results, keep the scanner lens clean and avoid extreme direct sunlight during scanning. Select wired USB mode when continuous power or minimal latency is required, and use the charging base for regular battery charging and automatic pairing in fixed workstations.
