Description

The Vision TC-HDMIIPRX/3 HDMI-over-IP receiver converts TCP/IP packets back into an HDMI signal to display video sent over a standard LAN. Designed to work with the corresponding TC-HDMIIP transmitter, the receiver supports full HDCP 1.4 compliance and resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz. It accepts video streams compressed with H.265 and forwards embedded digital audio to the display. The unit includes two USB Type-A ports for USB 1.1 peripherals, IR pass-through capability, and requires a local power supply. Compact and black, it connects to Cat5e/Cat6 cabling and can operate point-to-point or as part of a larger multicast distribution over a single subnet.

Advantages

The receiver restores HDMI output with no visible loss of video quality and transmits digital audio intact. It supports one-to-many multicast distribution allowing over 100 receivers on the same network from a single transmitter, and can also be connected directly to a transmitter via a CAT6 cable for a point-to-point link up to 150 m. How to use

Connect the receiver to the LAN using Cat5e or Cat6 cable and ensure it is on the same IP subnet as the transmitter. Alternatively, for a direct link, connect transmitter and receiver with a single CAT6 cable (up to 150 m) for point-to-point operation. Attach the display to the HDMI output, plug in the local power supply, and connect USB peripherals to the receiver’s USB Type-A ports if needed. Use the included IR cables to enable IR pass-through between the display location and the source. EDID is passed automatically; to copy or reset EDID use the unit’s reset/copy button as described in the transmitter/receiver documentation.

Usage recommendations

For best performance use a dedicated LAN for the HDMI-over-IP system and keep all endpoints on the same subnet. Use good quality Cat6 cable for long point-to-point links and a low-cost unmanaged switch is acceptable for multicast setups; do not expect PoE power delivery—provide a local PSU for each unit.
