The Vision TC-HDMIIPTX/3 AV transmitter converts an HDMI signal into TCP/IP packets for distribution over a standard LAN. It supports HDMI resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz and HDCP 1.4, transmits encoded digital audio, and uses H.265 compression to deliver full-colour video with smooth motion. The unit connects via Cat5e/Cat6 cabling and includes USB 1.1 support from the transmitter to multiple receivers for low-bandwidth peripherals. Each device requires its own power supply and the product is not backward compatible with the previous v2 (HiSilicon) model; this version uses a Sigmastar chipset.

How to use

Connect the HDMI source to the TC-HDMIIPTX/3 transmitter, attach the transmitter to the LAN using Cat5e/Cat6 cabling or connect directly to a receiver with a CAT6 cable for point-to-point operation. Provide power to each unit using the supplied power supplies. Receivers on the same subnet will automatically discover the multicast stream; EDID is passed through automatically and can be reset or copied from a display using the front-panel reset buttons. Plug in USB peripherals to the receiver USB ports for low-bandwidth devices such as keyboards and mice. Use an IR blaster and receiver to control the source from the display location.

Usage recommendations

For reliable operation use a dedicated LAN for video distribution, keep all endpoints on the same subnet, and choose high-quality Cat6 cabling for longer point-to-point links. Do not expect high-bandwidth USB devices (e.g., interactive touch screens) to function over the USB 1.1 link.
