Short throw projector Vivitek DU4381Z-ST
The Vivitek DU4381Z-ST short throw projector is designed for a wide range of professional applications including corporate meeting rooms, classrooms, galleries and museums. This WUXGA (1920x1200) laser projector delivers 6100 ANSI lumens of brightness, 3‑Chip DLP projection technology and a long-lasting laser light source rated up to 30,000 hours in economic mode. With a fixed 7.46 mm short‑throw lens, manual focus and IPX6 water resistance, the DU4381Z-ST is suitable for installations that require close, discreet positioning and reliable operation.
The DU4381Z-ST provides high brightness and WUXGA resolution for clear, detailed images even in well-lit environments. Its short‑throw optics (0.5 throw ratio) enable placement close to the projection surface, reducing shadows and obstructions. Laser illumination ensures long life and consistent light output, while 3‑Chip DLP technology delivers accurate colour and sharpness. Additional features such as 360‑degree positioning capability and robust thermal management support flexible installation and stable performance for single‑unit setups and mapping applications.
Place the projector close to the projection surface according to the short‑throw placement guidelines and secure it on a stable mount or surface. Connect a source device via the HDMI 1.4a input, power on the unit and adjust manual focus until the image is sharp. Use the projector's positioning options to fine‑tune orientation; the 360‑degree capability allows flexible mounting angles for mapping or unconventional installations. For initial setup, verify image geometry and alignment on the projection surface before finalising the mount.
Install the projector in a well‑ventilated location and avoid blocking vents to maintain thermal performance. For long service life, operate in economic mode where appropriate and follow manufacturer cleaning and maintenance guidelines for optics and filters. When used outdoors or in humid environments, ensure the installation meets IPX6 protection considerations and that cabling and accessories are rated for the environment.
