Super wide lens Voigtländer 10.5 mm F0.95 — 13 elements/10 groups, close focus 0.17 m, black

Voigtländer 10.5 mm F0.95 is a super wide-angle lens engineered for photographers who need extreme perspective, strong low-light capability and creative shallow-depth effects. With an optical layout of 13 elements in 10 groups and a minimum focus distance of 0.17 m, this compact black lens delivers expansive field of view and pronounced subject separation at very wide apertures. The lens body measures approximately 7.7 cm in diameter and 82.4 mm in length and uses 72 mm filters, making it suitable for a range of landscape, architecture and expressive wide-angle shooting scenarios.

Advantages

The lens offers an exceptionally fast maximum aperture of F0.95 for enhanced performance in dim environments and for achieving selective focus even with an ultra-wide focal length. Its optical construction with 13 elements in 10 groups is designed to control aberrations and deliver consistent sharpness across the frame. A close focusing distance of 0.17 m provides creative foreground emphasis and dramatic wide-angle close-ups. The compact, robust black barrel and common 72 mm filter diameter support practical handling and accessory compatibility.

Suitable for

• Landscape photography requiring very wide perspective and foreground detail
• Architectural and interior photography where wide angle and edge control matter
• Creative low-light and night photography using the F0.95 aperture
• Expressive environmental portraits and dramatic wide-angle close-ups
• Street and documentary work that benefits from a compact, wide-field optic

How to use

Mount the lens on a compatible camera body and set the aperture to F0.95–F16 depending on desired depth of field and light conditions. Use the close focusing capability (0.17 m) for dramatic foreground subjects while maintaining wide contextual background. When shooting handheld in low light, stabilize the camera or increase ISO to maintain shutter speed; when precision and maximum image quality are required, use a tripod. Attach 72 mm filters for ND or polarizing effects and check focus carefully at wide apertures where depth of field is very shallow.

Usage recommendations

For best results in low light and to exploit the shallow depth of field, focus carefully and review focus at magnified view. Use stopped-down apertures for increased corner sharpness when shooting landscapes or architectural details. Consider neutral density filters when using long exposures or very wide apertures in bright conditions.
