Voigtlander E-Mount 10 mm F/5.6 Ultra-wide lens Black BA334B

The Voigtlander E-Mount 10 mm F/5.6 Ultra-wide lens Black is a specialized manual focus lens designed specifically for Sony E-mount full-frame cameras. Featuring an extreme 10 mm focal length and a fixed maximum aperture of F/5.6, this lens delivers exceptional optical performance for expansive architectural and landscape scenes. Its advanced lens construction consists of 13 elements arranged in 10 groups, ensuring high sharpness across the frame while effectively minimizing distortion. Crafted with high-precision mechanics, it integrates electronic contacts to communicate lens data directly to the camera body, supporting functions such as automatic magnification during focusing, metering, and image stabilization.

Advantages

This ultra-wide lens offers an exceptionally wide perspective that captures vast scenes in a single frame without requiring stitching or panoramic software. The inclusion of electronic contacts ensures that vital lens data like focal length, aperture, and focus distance are seamlessly transmitted to the camera, enabling precise exposure metering and in-camera stabilization. Additionally, the integrated selective aperture control system allows for stepless and soundless aperture adjustment, making it particularly beneficial for videographers who require smooth transitions during filming. The robust build quality reflects traditional precision engineering, offering reliable mechanical operation in the field.

Suitable for

• Landscape photography capturing vast horizons
• Architectural exteriors and grand interior spaces
• Real estate photography requiring wide spatial coverage
• Creative videography utilizing stepless aperture control

When it may not be suitable

This lens may not be suitable for general everyday photography or portraiture due to its extreme field of view, which can introduce perspective distortion on close subjects. Furthermore, it features a strictly manual focus design, meaning it does not support autofocus, which may limit its utility in fast-paced shooting environments.
