VOREL 17474 rope 100 m
VOREL 17474 rope 100 m is a polypropylene masonry cord designed for precise alignment and layout tasks on construction sites and DIY projects. The cord is 100 meters long with a 2 mm diameter, supplied as a single roll suitable for use with chalk lines, plumb bobs, and as a general-purpose utility line where a thin, strong cord is required.
This masonry cord is braided on a braiding machine from polypropylene yarn, which gives it significantly higher tear resistance, lower elongation and greater abrasion resistance compared with ropes made on crochet machines. The material composition also provides good resistance to oils, gasoline, ultraviolet radiation and moisture, maintaining dimensional stability and strength under outdoor conditions and in typical construction environments.
Cut the required length from the roll and secure one end at the starting reference point. Stretch the cord tightly to the end point and fasten or tension it to create a straight, visible guide line. For chalk line use, wind the rope into the chalk tool, pull taut between two points and snap to leave a chalk line. After use, wind the cord back onto the roll to prevent tangles and store in a dry place away from prolonged direct sunlight to extend service life.
For best performance, avoid overloading the cord with heavy dynamic loads and keep it clean from abrasive debris. When used outdoors for extended periods, inspect regularly for surface wear and replace the cord if fraying or significant abrasion appears.
