Chimney Brush Vorel W50 170 mm Wycior kominowy model 72965, metal bristles, for round flues

The Vorel W50 170 mm chimney brush (model 72965) is designed for cleaning round flues and flue pipes with a 170 mm diameter. The brush head is fitted with metal bristles that are effective at removing soot, creosote and compacted deposits from chimney walls. It is intended for use in maintenance of wood, coal and multi-fuel heating systems and can be used by professional chimney sweeps as well as by experienced DIY users for periodic cleaning.

Advantages

Metal bristles provide robust abrasion for scraping off hardened soot and stubborn residues. The 170 mm brush diameter matches standard round flue sizes to ensure consistent contact with the chimney wall. The brush is compatible with rod systems and can be mounted on suitable extension rods for deep flue access. Its construction is optimized for mechanical cleaning of chimneys without adding chemical agents.

Suitable for

• Routine removal of soot and light creosote in round flues with 170 mm diameter
• Maintenance of wood-burning stoves, coal boilers and multi-fuel heating appliances
• Professional chimney sweeping and periodic DIY cleaning
• Pre-inspection cleaning before visual or camera inspection of the flue

Key specifications

• Brush diameter: 170 mm
• Bristle type: metal bristles for mechanical abrasion
• Intended flue shape: round flues and pipes
• Designed use: removal of soot, creosote and compacted deposits

How to use

Attach the brush securely to a compatible chimney rod or extension system. Insert the assembled rod and brush into the chimney or flue and work the brush up and down the length of the flue while rotating the rod to maximize cleaning contact. For best results, start from the top of the flue if access allows, and progress downward, or follow the recommended procedure for your specific chimney type. After brushing, remove loosened deposits by vacuuming or sweeping from the base of the chimney and inspect the flue for remaining residues.

Usage recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves, eye protection and a dust mask. Ensure the heating appliance is cool and disconnected before cleaning. For heavily encrusted creosote or structural concerns, engage a certified chimney professional. Store the brush dry to prevent corrosion of metal bristles and periodically inspect the brush for wear or bent bristles before use.
