The Wacaco Pipamoka Orange Stainless Steel 0.3L Coffee Maker is a portable all-in-one device that brews and serves coffee directly into an insulated mug. Designed by Wacaco, this compact brewer combines a pressure-based extraction system with a thermal stainless-steel cup to deliver a balanced, full-flavored cup in about two minutes. The unit accepts up to 0.3 L of water and about 16 g of ground coffee and features a permanent micro-filter mesh that preserves coffee oils while eliminating the need for paper filters. Note: the Pipamoka does not heat water.
Pipamoka's patented construction and twisting mechanism create vacuum pressure to pull hot water through coffee grounds quickly and efficiently, producing a clean, full-flavored cup in roughly two minutes. The integrated insulated stainless-steel mug keeps brewed coffee hot for hours. The permanent micro-filter allows natural coffee oils to pass into the cup, enhancing flavor while reducing waste and ongoing filter costs. Its compact 0.3 L capacity and lightweight stainless-steel design make it convenient for commuting, travel, and outdoor use.
Heat water separately to the desired temperature (the Pipamoka does not heat water). Add approximately 16 g of medium to medium-coarse ground coffee into the filter chamber, then pour up to 0.3 L of hot water into the device. Engage the twisting mechanism to create vacuum pressure; this will draw water down through the grounds and brew directly into the insulated mug. Allow extraction to complete—typically around two minutes—then open and drink from the mug.
For best results use a medium to medium-coarse grind and a brew ratio close to 1:15 (1 g coffee to 15 mL water). Preheat the insulated mug with hot water to improve temperature retention. Clean the permanent micro-filter after each use to maintain flow and flavor. Remember that the Pipamoka requires pre-heated water supplied separately.
