Wago 221-413/5 Compact Splicing Connector 3-Way 0.2-4mm² 32A/450V 5-Pack
The Wago 221-413/5 Compact Splicing Connector is a high-quality electrical component designed for efficient and secure wire termination. This 3-way connector allows for the quick connection of up to three conductors, supporting solid, stranded, and fine-stranded wires ranging from 0.2 to 4mm². Featuring a user-friendly lever-operated mechanism, it eliminates the need for specialized tools, making electrical installations faster and more reliable in various environments.
The primary advantage of this connector is its compact design, which saves significant space in junction boxes and enclosures. The lever-operated system ensures a firm grip on the conductor, providing a vibration-resistant and maintenance-free connection. Its transparent housing allows for visual inspection of the wire insertion, ensuring that each connection is secure and properly positioned. Furthermore, the ability to handle different wire types within the same connector offers exceptional versatility for complex wiring projects.
This connector may not be suitable for high-current industrial applications exceeding 32A or high-voltage systems above 450V. It is designed specifically for copper conductors and should not be used with aluminum wiring without appropriate contact paste, as this can lead to oxidation and connection failure.
To use the Wago 221-413/5, first strip approximately 11mm of insulation from the end of the conductor. Lift the orange lever on the connector to the open position, insert the stripped wire fully into the terminal, and then push the lever back down to lock the wire securely in place. Repeat this process for the remaining ports as needed.
For optimal performance and safety, always ensure that the wire is fully inserted and the lever is completely closed before energizing the circuit. Avoid reusing connectors if the internal clamping mechanism shows signs of damage or wear.
