WAVIN Traper HT 50 mm sanitary drainpipe, grey (model 3060531241)

WAVIN Traper HT 50 mm sanitary drainpipe in grey is a plastic plumbing component designed for wastewater and sanitary installations where a 50 mm outlet is required. The drainpipe is intended for connection between sanitary fixtures and building sewer systems, offering a compact solution for indoor plumbing runs, repairs and new installations. Its HT designation indicates suitability for higher-temperature wastewater commonly encountered in residential and light commercial settings.

Advantages

The drainpipe combines corrosion-resistant plastic construction with a smooth bore to support reliable flow and reduce sediment buildup. Its consistent 50 mm internal diameter ensures compatibility with standard sanitary fittings and simplifies replacement or extension of existing runs. The grey finish provides a neutral appearance for visible installations and the lightweight material facilitates handling and installation without specialized tools.

Suitable for

• Connecting sinks, washbasins and small sanitary fixtures to sewer lines
• Indoor drainage runs in residential and light commercial buildings
• Replacement or repair of existing 50 mm sanitary connections
• New plumbing installations where a compact 50 mm drain is specified

Key specifications

• Nominal internal diameter: 50 mm
• Material: durable plastic suitable for sanitary wastewater
• Color: grey
• Designed for HT (high temperature) sanitary applications
• Suitable for indoor use in typical residential and light commercial systems

How to use

Measure and cut the existing run to accommodate the 50 mm pipe, ensuring clean, square ends. Use compatible sanitary connectors and seals rated for HT applications to join the pipe to fixtures and sewer lines, following local plumbing codes. Ensure correct slope for gravity drainage and test the system for leaks after installation. For retrofit work, verify that adjacent fittings and traps match the 50 mm diameter before final assembly.

Usage recommendations

Use appropriate solvent or mechanical joints and HT-rated seals where required by local regulations. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight when stored, and confirm that the pipe is installed within its intended indoor environment and temperature range for best performance.
