WAVIN PVC Outdoor Sewer Pipe DN160, 4.0 mm Wall Thickness, 2000 mm Length

The WAVIN PVC outdoor sewer pipe is a high-quality solution engineered for robust underground gravity drainage and sewage systems. With a nominal diameter of 160 mm and a wall thickness of 4.0 mm, this 2000 mm long pipe provides the structural integrity required for reliable performance in various soil conditions. The material is specifically chosen for its resistance to chemical degradation and environmental stress, ensuring a long service life for residential and commercial infrastructure projects.

Advantages

This sewer pipe stands out due to its exceptional durability and resistance to common chemical substances found in wastewater. The smooth inner surface is a critical design feature that minimizes friction, which significantly reduces the risk of sediment buildup and blockages within the system. Its lightweight yet rigid construction facilitates easier handling and installation on-site, while the precise dimensions ensure a secure fit with standard drainage components, promoting a leak-free and efficient sewage network.

Suitable for

• Underground gravity sewage systems
• Residential drainage networks
• Commercial infrastructure projects
• Stormwater management systems

When it may not be suitable

This pipe is not intended for high-pressure applications or systems where the fluid temperature consistently exceeds the thermal limits of PVC material. It is also not suitable for installations where the pipe will be exposed to direct, prolonged sunlight or heavy traffic loads without appropriate protective bedding and backfill.

Key specifications

• Nominal diameter: 160 mm
• Wall thickness: 4.0 mm
• Length: 2000 mm
• Material: PVC
• Application: Underground gravity drainage

How to use

Installation should be performed by preparing a stable trench bed with appropriate granular material to ensure uniform support along the entire length of the pipe. The pipes are connected using the integrated socket system, which should be cleaned and lubricated before insertion to ensure a proper seal. Ensure that the pipe is laid with the correct gradient to facilitate gravity flow and prevent standing water. Backfilling should be done in layers, compacting the material carefully around the pipe to maintain structural stability.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify the required diameter for your specific drainage capacity
• Check local building codes regarding pipe stiffness and burial depth
• Ensure compatibility with existing fittings and connectors
• Calculate the total length needed including overlap for joints

Usage recommendations

Always follow the manufacturer's installation guidelines and local engineering standards to ensure the longevity and functionality of the sewage system. Avoid using sharp tools that could scratch the pipe surface during installation.
