WAVIN PVC Outdoor Sewer Pipe DN160 x 4.0 mm, Length 3000 mm

The WAVIN PVC outdoor sewer pipe with a diameter of 160 mm and a wall thickness of 4.0 mm is a robust solution engineered for underground gravity drainage systems. This 3-meter pipe is constructed from high-quality polyvinyl chloride, providing excellent structural integrity and resistance to the pressures exerted by surrounding soil. It is designed to facilitate the efficient transport of wastewater in both residential and commercial infrastructure projects, ensuring long-term reliability and performance in diverse ground conditions.

Advantages

This sewer pipe offers exceptional durability due to its rigid PVC construction, which effectively resists chemical corrosion and mechanical stress. The smooth internal surface minimizes friction, promoting optimal flow rates and reducing the risk of sediment accumulation or blockages. Its lightweight design simplifies handling and installation, while the integrated connection system ensures a secure, watertight seal that prevents leaks and protects the surrounding environment from contamination.

Suitable for

• Residential sewage and wastewater drainage systems
• Commercial building infrastructure projects
• Underground gravity-fed drainage networks
• Stormwater management and rainwater collection systems

This pipe is not suitable for high-pressure applications or systems where the internal pressure exceeds the design limits of gravity drainage. It should not be used for transporting hot industrial chemicals or fluids that exceed the temperature resistance rating of standard PVC materials.

Key specifications

• Nominal diameter: 160 mm
• Wall thickness: 4.0 mm
• Length: 3000 mm
• Material: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
• Stiffness class: SN4
• Application: Underground gravity drainage

To install the pipe, ensure the trench is properly prepared with a stable, compacted bedding layer to provide uniform support along the entire length of the pipe. Connect the sections using the provided socket-and-spigot system, ensuring that the rubber seals are clean and correctly positioned to maintain a watertight joint. Avoid using excessive force during assembly and ensure the pipe is laid at the appropriate gradient to maintain efficient flow.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify the required diameter and stiffness class for your specific soil load and depth of installation.
• Ensure compatibility with existing drainage fittings and connectors.
• Check local building regulations regarding the use of PVC piping for underground sewage.
• Calculate the total length required, accounting for overlap and connection points.

For optimal performance and longevity, always follow the manufacturer's installation guidelines and local engineering standards. Ensure that the pipe is protected from heavy traffic loads unless appropriate structural reinforcement is applied.
