Glass Lid WECK 120 mm set of 6 — WE-120
Set of six WECK glass lids with 120 mm diameter, model WE-120, designed for reuse in home canning, preserving and general food storage. These heat-resistant glass lids fit standard WECK jars and are compatible with rubber gaskets and metal clips to form an airtight seal. The transparent glass allows visual inspection of contents without removing the lid, making them suitable for long-term storage of fruit, vegetables, sauces and dry goods.
These WECK glass lids are made from tempered, heat-resistant glass that tolerates typical home canning temperatures and repeated use. Their precision-ground rim ensures a consistent fit with 120 mm WECK jars and reliable contact with rubber gaskets for airtight preservation. Being glass, the lids are non-reactive and do not absorb odors or flavors, and they are easy to clean by hand or in a dishwasher. Supplied as a set of six, they provide multiple replacements or spares for regular preserving projects.
Place a clean rubber gasket on the jar rim, position the 120 mm WECK glass lid centrally over the gasket, then attach metal clips to hold the lid in place. For hot-water canning, follow standard preserving procedures: fill jars while hot, seal with gasket and clips, process according to recipe-specific times and temperatures, then allow to cool until a vacuum seal forms. After cooling, remove clips if recommended by the preserving method and check the seal before storing. Clean lids thoroughly before first use and inspect for chips or cracks before each use.
Do not use lids with visible damage. Replace rubber gaskets periodically to maintain airtight seals. Avoid extreme thermal shock (for example, transferring from boiling water directly into ice water) to prevent cracking. Clean lids after each use and store in a dry place.
