Weldline WMT Steel Wire Liner for 1.0-1.2mm Wire, 3m Length
The Weldline WMT steel wire liner is a high-quality replacement component engineered specifically for MIG/MAG welding torches. Designed to facilitate the smooth and consistent delivery of welding wire, this liner plays a critical role in maintaining the stability of the welding arc. With a total length of 3 meters, it provides sufficient reach for standard welding setups, ensuring that the wire travels from the feeder to the torch tip without obstruction or unnecessary friction.
This steel wire liner offers exceptional durability and resistance to wear, making it an ideal choice for demanding professional and industrial environments. By providing a stable internal path for the wire, it significantly reduces the risk of wire jams, bird-nesting, and erratic feeding, which are common causes of welding defects. Its robust construction ensures long-lasting performance, helping to minimize downtime and maintain consistent productivity during intensive welding tasks.
This liner is specifically designed for steel wires and may not be suitable for softer materials like aluminum, which typically require Teflon or nylon liners to prevent shaving and feeding issues. It is also not compatible with torches that require a length exceeding 3 meters or those using wire diameters outside the specified 1.0mm to 1.2mm range.
To install the liner, first disconnect the welding torch from the power source and remove the existing liner by unscrewing the retaining nut at the torch connector. Carefully insert the new Weldline WMT steel wire liner through the torch cable, ensuring it is fully seated. Trim the excess length of the liner at the torch end according to the manufacturer's specific guidelines for your torch model, ensuring a clean cut to prevent wire snagging. Finally, reattach the contact tip and secure the liner in place before reconnecting the torch.
Regularly inspect the liner for debris or metal shavings and replace it if you notice inconsistent wire feeding or increased resistance, as a clean liner is essential for optimal weld quality.
