Internal SSD Western Digital Black WDS800T2X0E 8 TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe, Read 7200 MB/s, Write 6600 MB/s
The WD_BLACK SN850X NVMe SSD is an internal M.2 PCIe 4.0 drive designed for high-performance gaming and PC use. Available in capacities up to 8 TB, this solid-state drive uses Western Digital TLC 3D NAND and delivers very high read/write throughput to reduce load times, minimize texture pop-ins, and sustain smoother gameplay. A heatsink option is available for systems that require additional thermal stability. The downloadable WD_BLACK Dashboard (Windows only) provides drive monitoring and Game Mode 2.0 features for supported models.
High sequential read speeds (up to 7,300 MB/s on 1TB–4TB models) provide rapid game and level loading. Large capacities up to 8 TB allow storage of many games and large media libraries on a single M.2 drive. The optional heatsink helps maintain sustained performance under heavy load. Built-in features such as Predictive Loading, Overhead Balancing, Adaptive Thermal Management, and support for Microsoft DirectStorage improve responsiveness and overall game data handling. WD_BLACK Dashboard enables drive health monitoring and feature configuration on Windows systems.
Install the drive into an M.2 2280 slot on a compatible motherboard that supports PCIe 4.0 for optimal performance. Secure the module with the M.2 mounting screw and ensure proper airflow or attach the optional heatsink if provided. Initialize and format the drive in your operating system, then install games, applications, or transfer data. For full feature access, install the WD_BLACK Dashboard on a Windows system to enable Game Mode 2.0 and monitor drive health.
For best performance, use the drive in a PCIe 4.0-capable slot, enable heatsink cooling for sustained heavy workloads, and keep WD_BLACK Dashboard updated on Windows to access optimizations such as Game Mode 2.0 and thermal management features.
