Dowel Round wolfcraft GmbH 2906000

The wolfcraft round wooden dowels are high-quality fasteners designed for reliable and precise woodworking applications. Manufactured from dried beech wood in accordance with DIN 68150, these dowels offer exceptional strength and structural stability for various carpentry tasks. Each dowel features a grooved surface texture that ensures optimum purchase in the dowel hole, working together with wood glue to create strong, permanent joints. The chamfered ends on both sides allow for smooth insertion and an even distribution of glue throughout the connection, making them a dependable choice for both professional craftsmen and DIY enthusiasts.

Advantages

The beech wood construction provides high density and durability, ensuring that your assembled structures withstand regular stress over time. The precision-machined dimensions guarantee a consistent and accurate fit across multiple workpieces. Thanks to the fluted profile, the glue adheres more effectively, creating a tight bond that prevents shifting or loosening of the joint. These dowels are fully compatible with standard wolfcraft dowelling jigs and sets, allowing for streamlined and efficient workflow during complex projects.

Suitable for

• Furniture assembly and manufacturing
• Woodworking repairs and restoration
• Creating strong edge-to-edge and corner joints
• Cabinetmaking and shelving construction

When it may not be suitable

These wooden dowels are not intended for outdoor projects where moisture exposure is constant, as untreated beech wood can degrade or swell when exposed to water over extended periods. They are also unsuitable for joining non-wood materials such as metals, plastics, or glass.

Key specifications

• Material: Dried beech wood
• Standard: DIN 68150
• Diameter: 6 mm
• Length: 3 cm
• Surface texture: Grooved with chamfered ends

How to use

Begin by marking the precise locations for the dowel holes on your workpieces, ensuring proper alignment. Drill the holes to the correct depth and diameter matching the 6 mm size of the dowels. Clean out any sawdust from the holes to ensure proper contact. Apply a suitable amount of wood glue inside the holes and onto the surface of the dowel. Insert the dowel into the first workpiece, then join the second piece immediately, pressing them firmly together. Clamp the workpieces securely until the glue has fully cured, and wipe away any excess glue with a damp cloth.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the 6 mm diameter and 3 cm length match the specific requirements of your project
• Ensure you have a compatible drill bit and wood glue available
• Check the quantity needed for your assembly to ensure you have sufficient dowels

Usage recommendations: For optimal joint strength, always use quality wood glue and allow adequate clamping time according to the adhesive manufacturer instructions. Store the dowels in a dry environment to prevent moisture absorption prior to use.
