Hole saw Wolfcraft 1-cut (for wood and light materials) — model 5486000
Hole saw Wolfcraft 1-cut (for wood and light materials) — model 5486000 is a single-piece hole cutting tool designed to create round openings in wood and light construction materials. The tool is suitable for drilling apertures for pipes, conduits, door hardware and cable runs. It is compatible with standard hole saw arbors and is supplied with a 6 mm HSS centring drill to ensure accurate starts and stable drilling. The single-piece design allows direct use without a separate mandrel.
The hole saw features a BiM specially alloyed tool body with HSS teeth that combine durability with cutting performance in wood and various light materials. It is directly usable without a separate mandrel, simplifying setup and reducing the number of components required on site. The delivery includes one HSS Ø 6 mm centring drill for precise guidance during drilling.
Fit the hole saw to a compatible standard arbor or drill holder and secure it according to the arbor manufacturer’s instructions. Use the supplied HSS Ø 6 mm centring drill to start the hole and position the saw accurately. Begin drilling at low speed to establish the centre, then increase speed and moderate feed pressure appropriate to the work material. Keep the workpiece clamped or supported to prevent movement and clear chips periodically to maintain cutting performance.
For best results, select drill speeds and feed pressure matched to the material: lower speeds for non-ferrous metals and harder plastics, higher speeds for softwood. Wear appropriate eye and hand protection, and secure the workpiece. Regularly clear chips and allow the tool to cool to prolong life of the HSS teeth.
