Cleaning sponge Xantos Powerschwamm 2in1 514207 — dual-surface kitchen and household sponge

Xantos Powerschwamm 2in1 514207 is a dual-surface cleaning sponge designed for everyday kitchen and household tasks. One side features a soft, absorbent layer for gentle wiping and polishing of delicate surfaces, while the other side provides a firmer, textured scrubbing surface for removing stubborn dirt and dried food residues. The compact shape fits comfortably in the hand and is suitable for use on dishes, countertops, kitchen appliances and other washable surfaces where combined gentle care and effective scrubbing are required.

Advantages

The two-sided design combines gentle cleaning and stronger abrasion in a single tool, reducing the need to switch products during cleaning. The soft side minimizes the risk of scratches on coated or delicate surfaces, while the scrub side tackles grease and baked-on residues. Lightweight and easy to rinse, the sponge dries relatively quickly after use, which helps limit moisture retention and reduces unpleasant odors. Its ergonomic size supports precise cleaning in corners and around fixtures.

Suitable for

• Cleaning plates, bowls and cookware
• Wiping kitchen countertops and splashbacks
• Cleaning small kitchen appliances and sinks
• General household surface cleaning where mixed abrasion is required

Key specifications

• Dual-surface construction: soft absorbent side and textured scrub side
• Compact, ergonomic shape for comfortable hand use
• Suitable for wet use with water and common household detergents
• Quick-rinse design for faster drying after use
• Intended for non-abrasive to medium-abrasive cleaning tasks

How to use

Wet the sponge and apply a small amount of dish soap or other suitable cleaner to the soft or scrub side depending on the task. Use the soft side for delicate surfaces and the scrub side for tougher residues. Rinse the sponge frequently during cleaning to remove loosened dirt. After use, rinse thoroughly with clean water, squeeze out excess moisture and store in a dry place to reduce bacterial growth.

Usage recommendations

Do not use the scrub side on highly polished, non-stick or easily scratched surfaces without testing in an inconspicuous area first. Replace the sponge when it shows significant wear, persistent staining, or an unpleasant odor despite cleaning. For hygiene, consider periodic disinfection according to manufacturer guidance for household sponges (for example, boiling briefly or using a suitable disinfectant), and allow the sponge to dry between uses.
