How to use

Rinse the sand thoroughly under running water until the outflow runs clear to remove surface dust and fines. Spread an even layer across the bottom of the aquarium; typical depth for decorative layers is 1–3 cm, while planted setups often require 3–5 cm depending on root depth and plant species. Add water slowly to avoid disturbing the substrate, for example by pouring onto a plate or plastic bag placed on top of the sand. Position plants, stones and wood as desired and allow the tank to cycle before adding sensitive livestock.

Usage recommendations

For planted aquariums, combine Aquasand Nature basalt black with root tabs or a separate nutrient layer where heavy root feeders are used.
