Filament 3D Spectrum PLA Pro 1.75 mm — Polylactic Acid, Black, 1 kg
3D Spectrum PLA Pro 1.75 mm filament in Deep Black is a modified polylactic acid (PLA) material supplied on a 1 kg spool (spool width 67 mm). Designed for FFF/FDM 3D printers that accept 1.75 mm filament, this filament combines the ease of printing and dimensional stability typical of PLA with improved impact resistance and higher heat resistance achieved through material modification. The filament offers good flowability for efficient extrusion, making it suitable for prototyping, models and general-purpose parts that require increased mechanical strength and faster print speeds.
Modified PLA formulation yields higher impact and tensile strength while retaining PLA-like rigidity and printability. Improved flowability supports higher printing speeds and consistent extrusion, reducing common printing issues. After post-annealing in a controlled heating chamber, printed parts can reach elevated heat resistance (up to about 85°C) and show significantly greater thermal performance compared with standard ABS. The product comes on a standard 1 kg spool convenient for desktop and small industrial workflows.
Load the 1.75 mm filament into a compatible FFF/FDM 3D printer following the printer manufacturer's filament loading procedure. Recommended print settings will vary by machine and model geometry; start with common PLA settings and adjust temperature, retraction and speed to match the modified formulation. Use a print temperature that ensures stable flow and layer adhesion while avoiding excessive stringing. For best dimensional stability, ensure the filament spool can rotate freely and is stored dry when not in use.
For increased thermal resistance and stiffness, consider post-annealing printed parts in a controlled heating chamber. Typical annealing guidance: heat gradually to the target temperature, avoid uneven heating or hot/cold spots to prevent deformation, and for parts with wall thickness near 3.2 mm allow about 20 minutes on average. Verify annealing parameters on test samples before treating critical parts.
