Filament pack for 3Dsimo basic — 3Dsimo PCL 1 set (yellow, orange, red)
Filament pack for 3Dsimo basic — 3Dsimo PCL 1 set (yellow, orange, red)
Replacement PCL filament set for the 3Dsimo basic tool, supplied in three distinct colors: yellow, orange and red. This filament pack is formulated from low-temperature polycaprolactone (PCL) suitable for soft-melting and fast-cooling applications on devices compatible with 3Dsimo basic. It is intended for small-scale prototyping, model making, quick repairs and craft tasks where a malleable thermoplastic that bonds well and reshapes at low temperatures is required.
The set provides three vivid color options that allow clear visual distinction between parts or design elements during prototyping and crafting. PCL material melts at relatively low temperatures, reducing energy consumption and enabling safer handling compared with higher-temperature filaments. The formulation offers good adhesion to common plastic and porous surfaces and can be reshaped after heating, providing flexibility for iterative modelling and repair work.
Install the filament according to the 3Dsimo basic tool instructions, ensuring the tool is set to a temperature suitable for PCL. Feed the filament into the heating element and allow it to reach working temperature before applying material to the workpiece. Shape or join parts while the material is warm; allow it to cool and harden for a durable finish. When switching colors, purge the previous filament or follow the device-specific procedure to avoid color contamination.
Use personal protective equipment when heating material and work in a well-ventilated area. Store filaments in a dry environment away from direct sunlight to preserve material properties. For best results, follow the 3Dsimo basic operating guide for temperature settings and maintenance.
