Full-Face Respirator Mask 3M 6000 Series Medium 6800

The 3M 6000 Series Full-Face Respirator Mask (model 6800, medium) is a reusable protective mask that covers the entire face to guard eyes, nose and mouth from particles, gases and vapours when used with approved cartridges or filters. Constructed from a thermoplastic elastomer, the mask is lightweight, soft to the touch and designed for repeated use with replaceable bayonet-fit cartridges and filters. The central adapter directs exhaled breath and moisture downward, while the large polycarbonate lens provides a wide field of view for good visibility during work.

How to use

Select approved cartridges or filters suitable for the contaminants in your workplace and attach them to the mask using the bayonet quarter-turn fitting. Place the mask over your face, position the silicone/TPE seal against your skin, and adjust the four-strap harness until the mask sits comfortably and securely. Perform a user seal check to confirm there are no leaks before entering a contaminated area. Replace cartridges or filters when breathing resistance increases or according to the filter manufacturer’s guidance.

Usage recommendations

Ensure the filter type matches the hazard (for example A for organic vapours >65°C, AX for low boiling organic vapours, B for inorganic vapours, E for acid gases, K for ammonia). Maintain and store the mask and spare filters according to 3M instructions, inspect seals and straps before each use, and follow workplace respiratory protection program requirements including fit testing and training.
