3M™ Scotch® Tape 2228 is a 65-mil (1.65 mm) thick rubber mastic tape designed for insulating, padding and sealing bus bar and splice connections. The tape uses an ethylene propylene rubber backing with a temperature-stable mastic adhesive and is supplied here as a pack of 2 rolls, each 3 m long and 50.8 mm wide. It is rated for use up to 194°F (90°C) and is suitable for indoor and weather-exposed outdoor applications where moisture sealing and electrical insulation are required.
