Safety headgear 3M X5003V-CE
The 3M X5003V-CE safety headgear is a brimless industrial safety helmet made from durable ABS materials and designed for protection from small falling objects and impacts. It incorporates 3M’s SecureFit suspension with patented Pressure Diffusion technology to reduce force on the forehead and improve fit and comfort. The helmet includes vents for airflow, a UVicator™ sensor to indicate UV exposure, accessory slots for compatible 3M attachments, and is available with reflective 3M™ Scotchlite material. The model X5003V-CE comes in blue and is suitable for maintenance and other industrial tasks where head protection is required.
SecureFit suspension with Pressure Diffusion technology reduces force on the forehead by up to 20% compared with conventional 3M suspensions and provides a more secure, comfortable fit. Brimless design increases upward visibility and situational awareness. The ratchet-style, 15-position adjustment system allows easy headband tightening and front-to-back and height adjustments for a low, stable fit. Vents improve airflow, accessory slots permit use of various 3M PPE accessories, and the UVicator™ sensor gives a visual indication when UV exposure may have degraded the shell. Available options include multiple shell colours and reflective Scotchlite for increased visibility in low light.
Place the helmet on the head and use the ratchet dial to tighten the headband until the helmet fits securely and comfortably. Adjust the suspension height and front-to-back position using the available settings so the helmet sits low on the head without causing pressure points. Ensure vents are unobstructed and attach any required accessories using the accessory slots and clips designed for compatible 3M attachments. Inspect the helmet before each use, checking the shell, suspension, and accessory fittings for damage.
Replace the helmet if the UVicator™ sensor has changed from red to white, after any significant impact, or if the shell or suspension shows signs of cracking, brittleness, or other damage. Follow employer and local regulations regarding helmet service life and inspection intervals.
