ABB Eva Safety Sensor 2TLA020046R0900 with DYN/OSSD Coding
ABB Eva Safety Sensor 2TLA020046R0900 with DYN/OSSD Coding
The ABB Eva safety sensor is a high-performance, non-contact interlocking device engineered for monitoring doors, hatches, and windows in demanding industrial environments. Designed to function as an actuator in conjunction with an Adam sensor unit, this device utilizes unique DYN/OSSD coding to establish a high-level coded safety system. Its robust construction and non-contact operation ensure long-term reliability by eliminating mechanical wear, making it an essential component for maintaining safety standards in automated machinery and production lines.
The primary benefit of the ABB Eva sensor is its non-contact technology, which prevents mechanical wear and tear, significantly extending the operational lifespan of the safety system. The unique coding feature provides a high level of protection against tampering, ensuring that the safety circuit remains secure. Its compact design and 360-degree mounting flexibility allow for seamless integration into tight spaces and various machine configurations. Furthermore, the sensor is built from durable yellow PBT plastic, enabling it to withstand harsh environmental conditions and temperature fluctuations ranging from -40 to 70 °C.
This sensor is not a standalone device and cannot function without a compatible Adam sensor unit. It is not intended for use in applications where the required safety integrity level does not necessitate high-level coding or where mechanical contact switches are specifically mandated by local safety regulations.
To install the ABB Eva sensor, mount the actuator on the moving part of the door or guard, ensuring it is aligned correctly with the Adam sensor unit mounted on the fixed frame. Use the included DA 2B spacer rings if necessary to achieve the correct sensing distance. Once mounted, connect the Adam unit to your safety controller according to the wiring diagrams provided with the Adam unit. Ensure that the system is tested for proper functionality and that the safety circuit is correctly closed before initiating machine operation.
Regularly inspect the sensor for physical damage and ensure that the alignment between the Eva actuator and the Adam sensor remains within the manufacturer's specified tolerances to maintain optimal safety performance.
