LED strip ABILITE SMD5050 5m, 60 LEDs/m, 14.4W/m, 12V, RGB multicolor
Flexible ABILITE SMD5050 RGB LED strip, 5 meters long, featuring 60 SMD5050 LEDs per meter and a rated power consumption of 14.4 W/m at 12 V. The strip delivers full-color RGB output using three-color SMD5050 chips, suitable for accent, decorative and backlighting applications in residential, commercial and retail environments. The product requires a compatible 12 V DC power supply and an RGB controller to adjust color and brightness.
The high density of 60 LEDs per meter ensures smooth color transitions and consistent illumination along the entire 5 m length. SMD5050 chips provide stronger color mixing and higher luminous flux compared with smaller SMD types. Operating at 12 V with a power draw of 14.4 W/m allows use with common 12 V power supplies and controllers. The flexible PCB enables installation on curved or flat surfaces and can be cut at marked intervals to fit custom lengths.
Measure the installation area and cut the strip only at the marked cutting points to obtain the required length. Connect the strip to a compatible 12 V DC power supply and an RGB controller following the polarity and wiring instructions provided with the controller. Secure the strip to a clean, dry surface using the adhesive backing or mounting clips where necessary. Avoid exposing the strip to excessive moisture or mechanical strain unless the product variant specifies IP-rated protection.
For consistent color and full rated brightness along the entire 5 m run, use an adequately rated 12 V power supply and place the controller at the start of the strip. For longer runs or multiple parallel strips, consider supplying power at multiple points to reduce voltage drop. Use appropriate heat dissipation measures and ensure connections are insulated and protected from short circuits.
