Drill bit Abraboro SDS+ 16 mm for concrete, model AB00004034
Drill bit Abraboro SDS+ 16 mm for concrete, model AB00004034
Abraboro SDS+ 16 mm drill bit for concrete is a masonry drill designed for use with SDS+ rotary hammers. Intended for making 16 mm diameter holes in concrete, brick and natural stone, this bit provides a balance of efficient dust removal and stable engagement with the hammer chuck. It is suitable for creating anchor and dowel holes as well as through-fixings in load-bearing and non-load-bearing substrates.
The SDS+ 16 mm bit features a carbide tip geometry and flute design optimized for rapid percussive drilling and controlled extraction of chips. Its shank fits standard SDS+ chucks for secure retention and straightforward bit changes. The construction is intended to withstand the impact forces typical of rotary hammers while maintaining concentricity for accurate hole placement.
Mark the drilling point and secure the work area. Fit the Abraboro SDS+ 16 mm bit into an SDS+ rotary hammer chuck until it locks. Use the rotary hammer in hammer-drill mode at an appropriate power setting for the substrate. Apply steady forward pressure without forcing the bit; allow the hammer action to remove material. Withdraw periodically to clear dust and chips when drilling deep holes. After drilling, clean the hole of debris before inserting anchors or fixings.
For best results use the bit with an appropriately rated SDS+ rotary hammer and select a drilling speed and impact setting suitable for concrete. Wear eye and respiratory protection to guard against dust, and use dust extraction or a vacuum when possible to improve hole quality and working conditions.
