ABUS FU7300W Wired Security Device Component White IP65 2 m Cable

The ABUS FU7300W wired security device component is a reliable white-colored accessory designed for integration into security setups. Featuring an IP65 rating for protection against dust and water ingress, this component comes with a 2-meter cable to facilitate flexible installation. It functions as a potential-free glass breakage detector utilizing an integrated piezo element to react to the sound frequencies produced by breaking glass.

Advantages

This security component operates without requiring a separate operating voltage supply, making it exceptionally practical for wireless system integration. Its robust IP65 protection class ensures dependable performance in various indoor environments. The compact design allows for discrete placement directly on or near window panes, providing targeted acoustic monitoring without drawing unnecessary attention.

Suitable for

• Monitoring individual window panes in residential properties
• Securing commercial office windows against break-in attempts
• Integration with wireless opening detectors such as the FU5120 and FU5121 models

This device may not be suitable for monitoring unreinforced glass types or areas exceeding its specified detection range limits. It is also not intended for outdoor environments exposed to severe weather conditions beyond standard IP65 ratings or for spaces requiring complex multi-zone glass surveillance from a single sensor.

Key specifications

• IP65 protection rating against dust and water
• 2-meter connection cable included
• Detection range up to 4 square meters
• Maximum monitoring radius of 2 meters
• Compact dimensions of 18 x 18 x 9 mm
• Weighs 28.3 grams
• White product color

To use the device, fix the passive glass breakage detector directly onto the window pane or between 20 and 50 mm from the window frame, depending on the specific monitoring setup. Ensure proper contact is maintained with the pane so that any detachment is immediately noticeable. Route the 2-meter cable carefully to prevent any risk of damage during the regular opening and closing of the window. When installed in a corner, it monitors the designated area by detecting ultrasound signals and opening a CMOS relay upon registering a glass breakage frequency.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify compatibility with your existing alarm center and compatible wireless opening detectors
• Measure the target window pane to ensure the area falls within the 4 square meter detection limit
• Plan the cable routing to ensure safe operation during window movement

Install the ABUS FU7300W component securely on clean glass surfaces following the manufacturer distance guidelines from window frames, and regularly check the cable positioning to ensure uninterrupted security monitoring.
