Infrared Bulb ABUS LS1020

The Infrared Bulb ABUS LS1020 is an easy-to-install infrared light beam system for indoor and outdoor monitoring. It provides reliable detection up to 20 m and is compatible with 12–24 V AC/DC power supplies. The compact unit measures 46 mm (width) × 34 mm (depth) × 95 mm (height) and operates in temperatures from -20 to 60 °C. Built to IP66 standards, the device is suitable for use in exposed environments and is supplied as a kit including an infrared transmitter (Tx) with faceplate, an infrared receiver (Rx) with faceplate and four housing screws.

How to use

Install the transmitter and receiver facing each other across the area to be monitored, aligned so the infrared beam forms a straight detection line. Connect both units to a 12–24 V AC/DC power supply and wire the relay output to your alarm or control system as required. Adjust mounting and alignment to ensure a clear, unobstructed beam path across the protected line, then secure the housings with the supplied screws.

Usage recommendations

Place the infrared beam at a height and position where only intended crossings interrupt the beam; avoid locations with frequent airborne debris or heavy fog that may cause nuisance trips. Regularly check lid contacts and alignment to maintain anti-sabotage protection and reliable detection.
