Product information

Description

The ABUS PPDF17520 is a wireless IP security bullet camera with a resolution of 2305 x 1296 pixels and a 4 mm focal length. Designed for wall mounting, the camera delivers day-and-night video without relying on internet, Wi‑Fi, an app or a smartphone—only a power connection is required. Video data and device settings are encrypted and transmitted wirelessly to the monitor of the ABUS EasyLook BasicSet. Up to four cameras can be paired with one monitor and the display can show all live images simultaneously or switch between a quad view and single-camera views with a simple gesture.

Advantages

The camera provides high-resolution video (2305 x 1296 px) and a wide field of view (approximately 82° horizontal, 42° vertical), enabling detailed surveillance of entrances, terraces, garages and gardens. Low-light sensitivity (min. 0.1 lx) ensures usable images in dim conditions. Wireless connectivity to the ABUS EasyLook monitor enables quick installation and encrypted point-to-point transmission without needing network configuration or cloud services. The bullet form factor and wall mount design simplify installation and aiming.

Suitable for

  • Monitoring home entrances and driveways
  • Surveillance of terraces, gardens and outdoor areas
  • Shopfront and small business perimeter monitoring
  • Integration into ABUS EasyLook BasicSet multi-camera setups (up to 4 cameras per monitor)

  • Resolution: 2305 × 1296 pixels
  • Sensor: CMOS
  • Lens focal length: 4 mm
  • Field of view: ~82° horizontal / ~42° vertical
  • Minimum illumination: 0.1 lx
  • Frame rate: 15 fps
  • Mounting type: Wall
  • Connectivity: Wireless (no Wi‑Fi required)

How to use

Mount the bullet camera on a suitable exterior wall using the included mounting bracket and secure the power connection. Power the camera and follow the ABUS EasyLook BasicSet pairing procedure to add the camera to the monitor; commissioning is completed in a few steps and does not require network credentials or an app. Use the monitor to view live images, switch between individual cameras or enable the quad view to see all paired cameras at once. Adjust the camera angle after power-up to obtain the desired field of view.

Usage recommendations

Install the camera under a small roof or protected eave to reduce direct exposure to weather. Position the device at a height that prevents tampering while maintaining the intended coverage area; for low-light performance, avoid direct bright light sources in the field of view.

Lens system

Focal length range: Measure of how strongly the system converges or diverges light. For an optical system in air, it is the distance over which initially collimated rays are brought to a focus. A system with a shorter focal length has greater optical power than one with a long focal length; that is, it bends the rays more strongly, bringing them to a focus in a shorter distance. For an optical system in air, the effective focal length (f and f′) gives the distance from the front and rear principal planes (H and H′) to the corresponding focal points (F and F′).

White balance: Technique in photography and image processing, which involves a global adjustment of the intensities of the colors (typically red, green, and blue primary colors). An important goal of this adjustment is to render specific colors – particularly neutral colors including white – correctly.

It is published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The digits (characteristic numerals) indicate conformity with the conditions summarized in the tables below. Where there is no protection rating with regard to one of the criteria, the digit is replaced with the letter X. an electrical socket rated IP22 is protected against insertion of fingers and will not be damaged or become unsafe during a specified test in which it is exposed to vertically or nearly vertically dripping water. Another example is the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, one of the first cellular phones to be IP-rated; it is rated at IP58 and marketed as "dust resistant" and can be "immersed in 1.5 meter of freshwater for up to 30 minutes".
