Key Switch ABUS SE1010
The ABUS Key Switch SE1010 is a surface-mount key-operated switch for arming and disarming alarm systems or controlling electronic equipment. Instead of entering a PIN code, the user turns the key to change system state, making operation faster and simpler. The unit has two switch contacts that can be configured as permanent contacts or pulse generators, and two colored LEDs that indicate the status of the connected devices. The SE1010 features a reinforced fascia plate, a high-quality ABUS cylinder and a weatherproof housing with IP55 protection. It is designed for half-cylinders (10/30) and is supplied as a single unit (117 x 42 x 85 mm).
The SE1010 provides key-operated control for alarm partitions and auxiliary equipment, reducing the need to enter codes. Two configurable contacts allow flexible wiring for doors, lighting or garage control while two status LEDs give continuous visual feedback. The robust housing (IP55), reinforced fascia and quality ABUS cylinder improve durability and resistance to external influences. A cover contact and anti-removal wall contact protect the surface-mounted variant from tampering.
Install the SE1010 according to the alarm system or equipment manufacturer’s wiring diagram, securing the unit to the surface or flush location as required. Fit the correct ABUS half-cylinder (10/30) and wire the two switch contacts to the alarm control panel or controlled devices. Configure each contact as a permanent contact or as a pulse generator depending on the controlled function. Turn the key to arm or disarm the alarm or to activate connected equipment; observe the colored LEDs to verify current status.
For reliable operation, mount the key switch in a sheltered position or where IP55 rating is sufficient, use the ABUS half-cylinder specified (10/30), and follow the alarm system manufacturer’s wiring and installation instructions. Periodically check the cylinder and housing for damage and verify LED indications after installation.
