ABUS BNC 5m Coaxial Cable Black Male to Male TVAC40030

The ABUS BNC 5m coaxial cable in black is designed for reliable video signal transmission in CCTV security systems. Featuring male connectors on both ends and a 5-meter length, it ensures a seamless connection between surveillance cameras and recording devices. Built with durability in mind, this pre-assembled cable offers a straightforward setup for both professional and residential security installations, ensuring steady and consistent performance.

Advantages

This pre-assembled coaxial cable simplifies the installation process by eliminating the need for custom connector assembly on-site. The standard BNC male plugs on both ends guarantee broad compatibility with a wide range of standard security cameras and recorders. With a specified cable resistance of 75 ohms, it delivers optimal signal integrity for analog video transmission, minimizing signal loss and interference over the 5-meter distance.

Suitable for

• Connecting CCTV security cameras to digital video recorders
• Residential video surveillance setups
• Small office and commercial security systems
• Extending existing analog video connections within a 5-meter limit

When it may not be suitable

This cable is not suitable for digital high-definition video standards that require HDMI, VGA, or network cables, nor is it compatible with equipment using non-BNC connections without appropriate adapters. Due to its fixed 5-meter length, it may be either too short for large installations or excessively long for very close connections.

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5 m
• Connector 1: BNC Male
• Connector 2: BNC Male
• Impedance: 75 ohm
• Color: Black

How to use

To use the ABUS BNC coaxial cable, first ensure that both your surveillance camera and recording device are powered off to prevent electrical surges. Take one end of the cable and push the BNC male connector onto the BNC port of the camera, twisting it slightly to lock it securely into place. Repeat the same connection process with the remaining end of the cable into the corresponding input port on your recording device. Once both ends are firmly attached, power on your equipment and verify the video feed.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that your security camera and recording device both feature standard BNC ports
• Measure the required distance between your devices to ensure the 5-meter length is adequate
• Determine if your setup requires analog coaxial transmission rather than digital network cabling

For optimal signal quality and longevity, route the cable away from heavy electrical power lines to avoid electromagnetic interference, and avoid sharp bends or pinching that could damage the internal conductor.
