ACT HDMI to USB Type-C female adapter, 4K@60Hz
The ACT AC7537 HDMI to USB Type-C female adapter converts an HDMI output from a laptop or other source into a USB Type-C video input for a monitor that accepts DisplayPort Alt Mode. This active, unidirectional adapter supports up to 3840x2160 (4K) at 60Hz, includes an attached USB-A/USB Type-C power cable for additional power if needed, and supports hot-plug detection for plug-and-play use. The adapter comes in a compact black aluminium housing and is compatible with Windows and Mac systems.
This adapter provides a simple way to connect an HDMI source to a USB-C monitor without requiring driver installation. As an active converter with DP Alt Mode 1.2 support, it reliably delivers 4K@60Hz video and supports HDCP 1.4 and 2.3 as well as HDR content. The attached USB-A/USB-C power cable supplies extra power when the HDMI port does not provide enough, and hot-plug detection enables connection while devices are powered on.
The adapter is unidirectional and only converts HDMI output to a USB-C (DisplayPort Alt Mode) monitor input; it will not convert a USB-C source to an HDMI display. It also requires a monitor that accepts video over USB-C (DP Alt Mode). If your HDMI source already provides sufficient power to the adapter this extra power cable may not be necessary.
Plug the HDMI‑A male end into your laptop or other HDMI source and connect the USB Type‑C female end to the USB‑C monitor that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode. If the adapter requires extra power, connect the attached USB‑A or USB‑C power cable to a USB power source. The adapter supports hot‑plug detection, so you can connect or disconnect devices while they are powered on. No driver installation is normally required on Windows or Mac systems.
For stable 4K@60Hz output, use short, high-quality HDMI cables for the source and ensure the monitor’s USB‑C port supports DP Alt Mode. If you encounter signal or power issues, connect the included USB‑A/USB‑C power cable to a USB power adapter.
