Description

The ACT AOC 25 m HDMI cable combines copper conductors and optical fiber to transmit 4K@60Hz video and multichannel audio over long distances up to 100 m without data loss. It supports an 18 Gbps 4:4:4 bandwidth, HDR, HDCP 2.2, EDID, DDC, CEC, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio and ARC. The cable is supplied on a coil and features a detachable plug with a protective pulling eye to simplify installation through conduits and plenum spaces.

Advantages

Active Optical Cable (AOC) construction uses copper for power/signalling and kevlar-protected glass fiber for the high-speed video path, enabling stable 4K@60Hz transmission over long runs with low RFI/EMI. The cable is ultra-slim and flexible for easy routing, includes aluminium-foiled shielding and comes with a removable connector and protector for simple pull-through installation. An optional USB power lead allows connection to a 5V supply if the source port does not provide sufficient power.

How to use

Disconnect the detachable plug and attach the protector with the pulling eye around the cable when routing through conduits. Pull the slim, flexible cable through the conduit, remove the protector and reconnect the detachable plug to the cable. Plug HDMI Type A connectors into the source and display devices. If the transmitter's HDMI port supplies insufficient power, connect the included USB power cable to an external 5V supply before use.

Usage recommendations

Ensure correct orientation by matching the source and display markings on the cable. For permanent installations, avoid sharp bends and keep the cable away from strong electromagnetic sources to preserve signal integrity.
