ACT AK4171 DisplayPort cable 15 m Black
The ACT AK4171 DisplayPort cable is a 15 m Active Optical Cable (AOC) designed to transmit high-resolution video and multi-channel audio over long distances without signal degradation. Combining copper and optical fiber, this DisplayPort 2.1 DP40 UHBR10 cable delivers the bandwidth required for 8K (7680 x 4320) at 60 Hz and supports HDR, HDCP 2.2, EDID and advanced audio formats. The cable has a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket and is supplied in a box.
The hybrid copper-and-fiber construction enables reliable 8K@60Hz transmission over long distances (available up to 100 m) while maintaining a 40 Gbps UHBR10 bandwidth and 4:4:4 color sampling. Kevlar reinforcement and aluminium foil shielding provide mechanical durability and low electromagnetic interference, and the LSZH jacket reduces toxic gas emission risk in case of fire. The cable requires no external power and supports 3.3V across its full length.
This active optical DisplayPort cable is not necessary for short-range setups where standard passive DisplayPort cables already provide sufficient bandwidth and lower cost. It is also not suitable if a system requires connector types other than DisplayPort or if the required resolution/refresh combination exceeds the supported 8K@60Hz specification.
Connect one DisplayPort male connector to the source device (graphics card, media player, or other DisplayPort output) and the other DisplayPort male connector to the display. The cable is keyed and marked to indicate source and display ends; ensure correct orientation before inserting. The snap-in DisplayPort connectors provide a secure fit. No external power supply is required; the cable carries 3.3V along its length. For best results, avoid sharp bends and keep the cable protected from mechanical stress.
Use the marked ends to ensure correct connection orientation, avoid tight bends and kinking, and secure the cable to prevent mechanical strain. For installations in sensitive or safety-critical environments, prefer the LSZH version and consider strain relief at connector points.
