A very practical food dehydrator rated at 550W. It is suitable for dehydrating mushrooms, vegetables, fruits as well as herbs. Due to the dehydrating process these products are easy to preserve. The food dehydrator works really silently and does not disturb everyday life with its noise. Large trays allow to place numerous minor products on them. At the same time, the fact that the trays can be placed one upon another causes the device to occupy little space. Dehydrating process can be run with diverse intensity, thanks to the 2-level temperature control. For safety reasons the food dehydrator is equipped with an over-heating protection system that automatically turns the device off when there is such a need.

Over the years, there has been a growing interest in various ways of processing food products. Drying has become one of the most popular techniques, which works well not only during the autumn harvesting of mushrooms. You can do it with the food dehydrator ADLER AD 6658. It is the easiest way to extend the shelf life of your favorite products and provide yourself with healthy snacks or valuable ingredients for other dishes.

Food dehydrator - how does it work?

Term dehydrator means a dryer for fruit, vegetables, mushrooms, and meat. It is a device that removes water from selected products, thus significantly extending their durability. The process is based on creating natural conditions in which the water evaporates, but the dried products do not lose valuable nutrients: vitamins and minerals. Moreover, using a dehydrator enhances their sweet or salty taste.

Using the control panel with an LCD on the front of the machine, you can set the temperature range and operating time of the dryer, which should be adapted to the product. Vegetables, hard and soft fruits, herbs, or meat have different water content and therefore require different settings. Soft fruits need to be processed the longest (up to 18 hours at 60°C), and herbs and even flowers are the fastest to dry (3 hours at 35°C).

Technical parameters of the device

The model we propose is compact in construction, has a rectangular shape, and is small in size, which helps in storage. There are as many as five trays inside, and it is easier to dry more products with even air circulation. The trays were made from polypropylene, one is 2.5 cm high, which allows you to place thicker slices of fruit, vegetables, or meat on it, and the drying area is 2310 cm2.

The dehydrator has a built-in timer. You can set the time of its operation from 1 to 70 hours. The temperature range is from 35 to 70°C, so you can dry any products here. It is equipment that allows you to produce healthy fruit and vegetable chips, our own Vegeta or dry meat, fish, or even pasta at home.
