Trotec AirLock 100 Window Sealing for Mobile Air Conditioners
The Trotec AirLock 100 is a specialized window sealing solution engineered to optimize the performance of mobile air conditioning units. By creating a secure barrier between the window frame and the sash, this textile seal effectively prevents warm outdoor air from re-entering the room through the exhaust hose gap. This process significantly improves the cooling efficiency of your air conditioner, allowing the unit to reach desired temperatures faster while reducing overall energy consumption.
The primary benefit of the AirLock 100 is its ability to enhance climate control by maintaining a consistent indoor temperature. Constructed from durable, water-repellent, and translucent material, the seal is designed for longevity and minimal heat conduction. Its versatile design allows for easy installation on various window types, including left-hand, right-hand, bottom-hung, and skylight windows. Furthermore, the seal does not interfere with the operation of the window, meaning you can open or close it as needed without having to remove the textile attachment.
This product may not be suitable for windows with non-standard opening mechanisms, such as sliding windows or doors, where the textile seal cannot be properly attached to the frame and sash. It is also not intended for use with windows exceeding a total perimeter of 400 cm.
To install the AirLock 100, attach the provided adhesive fastener tape to the window frame and the corresponding window sash. Once the textile seal is securely fastened to the tape, guide the exhaust hose of your mobile air conditioner through the zippered opening. Adjust the zipper to fit snugly around the hose to minimize air leakage. The seal remains in place even when the window is closed, providing a permanent solution for your cooling needs.
For optimal energy efficiency, ensure the zipper is closed as tightly as possible around the exhaust hose during operation. Regularly check the adhesive bond to maintain a secure seal throughout the cooling season.
